Short Program

"Mamma Mia" (2,44')

You know the feeling when all the pieces of the puzzle fit together perfectly? That was the case this season with the music for our short program. Abba's ultimate hit song Mamma Mia has been, for years, kind of an anthem of our senior team. Every year from 2004, when we were hosting the World Championships for the first time, onwards, that song was played every time during the ice resurfacing to amuse the audience and every time the draw would have us skate right after the resurfacing. That song always lifted our spirits and helped us get in the mood for skating. This season is the perfect time for us to skate to the song that is so close to our hearts. And we are particularly happy that we can go wild with the design of the dresses!

Free Skating

"Little Mermaid" (4,35')

When choosing the music for the free program, we were, as we always do, looking for a good story to tell on the ice. During the years we have skated to many soundtracks to movies. We have been considering the soundtrack for the „Little Mermaid“ animated film several times already, we love the fairy tale very much, but it always seemed too childish and we are, after all – women. One conversation with Anu Oksanen, who choreographed both our programs, solved all of our problems when she suggested that we use the music from the Broadway musical. The music fits us perfectly from start to finish and the vocals in the slow section are so amazing that we get goose bumps even after listening to it for the 1000th time. Our dresses are beautiful and we really do look like we are under the sea!
